Pedestrian critically injured after being struck by vehicle in Kalihi

A pedestrian in her 70s or 80s was critically injured this afternoon after being struck by a vehicle near North School and Houghtailing streets in Kalihi.

Paramedics responded to the 4:14 p.m. call and treated the woman who had head and leg injuries, and transported her to a hospital, according to city Emergency Medical Services officials.

Police closed North School Street eastbound at Houghtailing as they investigated. It was re-opened at around 5:45 p.m.
