Families are invited to pick up some new ideas for healthful meals at the next WithOutWalls Workshop on Saturday at Kapolei High School.
Cynthia Pratt, a recently retired culinary arts teacher, will lead the class, titled “Healthy Eating for the New Year.”
Pratt is the editor of last year’s “Ono Loa Cookbook: Favorite Recipes of Hawaii’s High School Culinary Arts Programs” and 2011’s “From the Heart of Hawaii’s Families,” a compilation of recipes from Kapolei High’s students and staff.
The class runs from 9 a.m. to noon. Cost is $25 per person or $65 for families of up to three (children must be at least age 8). An additional $10 ingredient fee will be collected at the workshop. The cost includes copies of the recipes and food samples.
