Big Isle police seek help finding four men

Hawaii island police are seeking the public’s help finding four men with outstanding warrants. They are known to frequent the Mountain View and Volcano areas of the Big Island.

The men were identified as Jardin Tavares, described as 6-foot-1, 160 pounds, with brown eyes and hair; Joseph “JP” Branco, who is 5 feet 7 inches tall, 140 pounds with brown eyes and hair; Richard Benevides, who is 5-feet-11-inches tall, 270 pounds, with brown eyes and hair; and Shilo Brent, described as 5-foot-7, 175 pounds, with brown eyes and hair.

In addition, Hawaii island police are investigating the theft of two SSR Motorsports dirt bikes from a Kohala residence sometime between 10 p.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday. The dirt bikes were parked in the garage when they were stolen.

Police asked that anyone who sees any of these men or has information on the stolen dirt bikes to call the department’s non-emergency number at 935-3311.
