Emergency crews transported a juvenile male to a hospital after he was struck by a vehicle in Wailuku.

Just before 3:50 p.m. Wednesday, police said the boy was riding his skateboard down a residential driveway on Maka Hou Loop when he was struck by a white 2016 Nissan Leaf operated by a 44-year-old Wailuku woman.

The vehicle was traveling south on the roadway when it struck the skateboarder. Police said he was transported to Maui Memorial Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
