Police closed South Beretania Street near Piikoi Street today due to a leaning electrical pole caused by a crash.
Police initially closed all lanes of Beretania after the utility pole was damaged about noon, knocking out power in the Makiki area. Some lanes were later reopened.
Police said no major injuries were reported.
Hawaiian Electric Co. said power was restored in about an hour to some 760 customers left in the dark by the wreck.
