The Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Security Department is recruiting 60 entry-level security guards. It will meet with candidates from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday during the 2018 Workforce Career Fair at the Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall.
Interested applicants must bring a resume to the job fair for possible on-the-spot hiring. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; U.S. citizenship; passing a physical exam, physical agility test and drug test; obtaining and maintaining a secret clearance; being at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license; and registration in the Selective Service for males born after Dec. 31, 1959.

First Hawaiian shareholder to pay $90M fine
The U.S. unit of BNP Paribas, majority shareholder of First Hawaiian Bank, has pleaded guilty to U.S. charges that it manipulated the prices of foreign currency.
BNP Paribas USA agreed to pay a $90 million criminal fine after admitting to conspiring to fix prices for Central and Eastern European, Middle Eastern and African currencies, the Justice Department said in a statement Friday.
First Hawaiian said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission that the settlement is not expected to disrupt its business operations.

>> Bank of Hawaii has promoted Sharlene R. Ginoza-Lee to senior vice president and branch transformation manager from vice president and strategic planning and data analytics manager of the bank’s Branch Delivery Department. In 1994 she joined Bank of Hawaii’s Human Resources Department as well as worked in various leadership roles, including serving as human resources manager in the Compensation Department. In 2016 Ginoza-Lee joined the Branch Delivery Department as well as oversaw Bank of Hawaii’s “Branch of Tomorrow” initiative.
>> The Kauai Board of Water Supply has appointed Steven Kyono as an acting manager and a chief engineer for the Department of Water as of Feb. 12. He previously served as an engineer for Kauai County from 1986-1990 and was the Kauai District engineer for the state Department of Transportation Highways Division from 1991 until 2008. Since then Kyono has been serving as Kauai’s vice president of SSFM International.
