The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a Pearl City couple killed in a house fire as Cheryl Kamihara, 66, and her husband, Gordon Kamihara, 68.
The causes of death for the couple are pending.
Firefighters responded to a three-alarm fire at the single- story home at 2333 Amoomoo St. in Pacific Palisades shortly before 2:40 a.m. Feb. 2.
They brought the fire under control just after 3:15 a.m. and extinguished it at 5:42 a.m. Firefighters found the couple dead inside the home. Damage was estimated at $278,000 to the structure and $139,000 to its contents. Neighboring homes also sustained damage. Honolulu Fire Department spokesman Capt. Scot Seguirant said the fire’s cause has been classified as undetermined.
