A 25-year-old man has been charged for allegedly abusing and sexually assaulting his girlfriend in Waikiki.
Christopher W. Dingley was charged Tuesday with second-degree sexual assault. His bail is set at $50,000.
The victim, 21, reported to police that her boyfriend, identified as Dingley, abused and sexually assaulted her Sunday night.
Police located the suspect in Waikiki Monday night and arrested him on suspicion of two counts of second-degree sexual assault and one count of second-degree terroristic threatening.
Dingley has a criminal record of misdemeanor theft, terroristic threatening and abuse of a family or household member.
Sheriffs nab missing furlough inmate
Sheriffs arrested a missing furlough inmate, Michael Zurcher, in the Pearl City area at about 5:50 p.m. Tuesday.
Zurcher failed to return to Module 20 after work the previous night. Once processed he will be returned to OCCC on a new escape 2 charge.
Zurcher is serving time for promoting a dangerous drug, promoting a harmful drug, unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle, unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, criminal property damage, burglary and theft.
His next parole hearing is scheduled for June.
Police seek woman in Waikele theft
Police and CrimeStoppers are asking for help identifying a woman who took several handbags at Waikele Premium Outlets.
The woman entered Saks Off 5th at about 10:30 a.m. Jan. 11 and selected several handbags before leaving the store with the bags without paying, police said.

Video released of bank robbery suspect
Police have released video of a man who robbed the Kaimuki branch of First Hawaiian Bank on Monday.
The man, who wore a surgical mask, entered the branch at 3599 Waialae Ave. and demanded money from a teller.
The man was given an undisclosed amount of cash and fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The suspect is in his 40s to 50s, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, average build with a fair complexion. He was wearing a white, long-sleeved jacket, blue jeans, dark athletic shoes, white baseball cap over a dark beanie, dark wrap-around glasses and a white surgical mask.
