Man seriously injured in stabbing in Waikiki

Police are investigating a stabbing that occurred in Waikiki early today.

Emergency Medical Services responded to the stabbing at about 4:10 a.m.

Police said the victim, 25, suffered a puncture wound to his lower abdomen and some lacerations to his forehead that he may have sustained in a scuffle at the time of the stabbing.

Police said he walked several blocks away from the scene to Kapahulu Avenue near the Honolulu Zoo. An individual in the area called 911 and reported a disoriented man bleeding.

Paramedics treated and transported the victim to a trauma hospital in serious condition.

There are no arrests at this time.
