Three adults were injured Friday night when a car crossed lanes in Wahiawa.

The crash occurred about 9:30 p.m. on Kamehameha Highway just past the Whitmore Avenue intersection. A 20-year-old Haleiwa man was reportedly driving south on Kamehameha Highway when for “unknown reasons” his vehicle lost control.

The man’s car traveled into the northbound lane hitting a car driven by a 27-year-old Wahiawa woman, who was accompanied by a 25-year-old Wahiawa woman.

The man was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. Both women were taken to an area hospital in serious condition.

The Honolulu police traffic division responded to the incident. Police report alcohol does not appear to be a factor. The incident did occur in inclement whether, but it’s unknown if speed contributed to the crash.
