Work furlough inmate fails to return
Work furlough inmate Jason Kamaka failed to return to the Laumaka Work Furlough Center after work Friday night.
Kamaka, 42, is 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds, the Department of Public Safety said in a news release. He has brown hair and brown eyes. He also has a tattoo across his neck that says “Kehaulani.”
Kamaka is serving time for unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle. His next parole hearing was scheduled for May. He now faces an additional escape charge.
Kamaka is a community custody inmate in the work furlough program with pass privileges. This is the lowest classification status.
