A 20-year-old woman has been charged with allegedly stabbing her 21-year-old boyfriend in Nanakuli.
Prosecutors charged Shakaralei T. Lee on Tuesday with two counts of second-degree assault. Her bail was set at $25,000.
At about 2:50 p.m. Monday, police said, a suspect later identified as Lee and her boyfriend got involved in an argument at their apartment. According to court documents, Lee then punched him in the head several times.
After the victim pushed her away, Lee allegedly grabbed a knife with a 5-inch blade and swung it at his head. Police said the victim blocked his face with his left arm and he sustained a laceration to one of his fingers.
Court documents said Lee then allegedly stabbed him in the left thigh.
Emergency Medical Services treated and transported the victim to Queen’s Medical Center-West Oahu, where he received stitches to his finger and thigh.
Police recovered the knife and arrested Lee shortly after on suspicion of assault.
Man punches taxi driver, 70, in Waikiki
Police are looking for a male suspect who robbed and punched a 70-year-old cab driver in Waikiki.
The driver picked up the suspect at Walmart on Keeaumoku Street and drove him to Waikiki at 6:55 p.m. Tuesday, police said.
When the cab reached Waikiki, the suspect asked the driver for change.
Police said when the victim took out money, the suspect punched him in the face and grabbed the cash out of his hand. He then allegedly brandished a knife toward the driver before fleeing.
The victim sustained minor injury to his face.
The suspect is described as 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 150 pounds with a medium build. He was wearing dark-colored clothes.
3 officers targeted by stolen car suspect
Police arrested two men Wednesday morning in Waiau, one on suspicion of attempted murder after he allegedly tried to hit three police officers with a stolen car.
Police from the Kapolei/Waianae district, with help from Pearl City police, were pursuing two men in a stolen car. When officers stopped the stolen car, the driver allegedly tried to run them over, injuring at least one officer, police said.
The incident occurred at 11 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of Kuleana Road and Kaahumanu Street.
Police arrested the suspects at 11:30 a.m. in the area. One was arrested on suspicion of three counts of first-degree attempted murder, and both were arrested on suspicion of unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle.
Man arrested for alleged threatening of mom
Police arrested a 26-year-old man after he allegedly abused his mother in Wahiawa.
At 10 p.m. Friday, police said, the suspect threatened his mother, 53, with an undisclosed dangerous instrument. He then allegedly twisted her arm, causing pain, and took property from her.
Police located the suspect in Wahiawa on Tuesday and arrested him on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening, abuse of a family or household member and fourth-degree theft.
