The Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club in Waikiki hosted an Earth Day celebration with a screening under the stars of “The Smog of the Sea,” a documentary by filmmaker Ian Cheney about the extent of plastics in the ocean. Jack Johnson, who provided some of the film’s soundtrack, was on hand to discuss the film, along with bodysurfing artist Mark Cunningham and freediver and artist Kimi Werner.
