Man seriously injured in fall while hiking in Kaaawa
A 32-year-old man sustained serious injuries after he fell about 50 feet while hiking in Kaaawa.
Firefighters responded to an injured hiker near Pu’u Manamana Trail at 4:08 p.m. Tuesday. Emergency Medical Services said he sustained injuries to his face, back and leg in the fall.
The Honolulu Fire Department’s Air 1 helicopter airlifted him to a landing zone at Swanzy Beach Park where paramedics treated and transported him to a trauma hospital in serious condition.
