Hawaii baseball team ends season with win at UC Santa Barbara

Adam Fogel went 3-for-4 and drove in four runs, including three with a tie-breaking homer in the seventh, to lift the Hawaii baseball team to a 10-6 road victory over UC Santa Barbara today at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium.

Maaki Yamazaki, Dustin Demeter, Dylan Vchulek and Ethan Lopez contributed two hits apiece to fuel the Rainbow Warriors’ 14-hit attack.

The score was tied at 5 when Yamazaki and Johnny Weeks reached base with two outs. Alex Patterson then replaced Joshua Candau. Fogel hit Patterson’s pitch over the fence in left for his eighth homer of the season.

The ’Bows finish the season at 27-24 overall and 11-13 in the Big West. The Gauchos are 27-28 and 10-14.
