Coco Ho, Carissa Moore advance to next round in Bali surf
Hawaii surfers Coco Ho and Carissa Moore performed well on day four of the Corona Bali Protected competition in Bali, Indonesia today.
After uncharacteristically windy conditions on Tuesday, competitors were greeted this morning with super clean 3- to 5-foot sets coming through at Keramas. The competition started with women’s Round 1 this morning, with Round 2 and men’s Round 3 were scheduled next.
Hawaii’s Coco Ho advanced directly to Round 3 of the Women’s 2018 Corona Bali Protected after winning Heat 1 of Round 1 against two-time reigning WSL Champion Tyler Wright of Australia along with Johanne Defay of France in the opening heat.
Three-time WSL Champion Carissa Moore of Honolulu will surf in Round 2 after placing second in Heat 5 of Round 1 against title threat Courtney Conlogue of the USA and Silvana Lime of Brazil.
John John Florence and Ezekiel Lau were scheduled for men’s Round 3 matchups.
The Corona Bali Protected is broadcast Live on WSL’s Facebook page, WorldSurfLeague.com, and the WSL app.
