Police are searching for a male suspect in a shooting at a home in the Enchanted Lake neighborhood of Kailua.

At 10:12 p.m. on Monday, an argument between two men escalated into a physical confrontation on Keolu Drive, according to police. The suspect retrieved a firearm from his vehicle, shot the victim and fled the scene. The victim, a 39-year-old man, was transported to a local hospital in serious condition.

Police are investigating the case as an attempted murder in the second degree and interviewing witnesses.
