With 210 points, Lanikai won the AAA Division in the Oahu Hawaiian Canoe Racing Association’s Father’s Day Regatta, held on Sunday at Nanakuli Beach.
Lanikai’s total was 43 points better than Outrigger Canoe Club, which finished second.
Keahiakahoe Canoe Club won the AA Division with 60 points.
The A Division went to Waimanalo Canoe Club with 38 points.
Hawaii gymnasts in Bolivia
Hawaii elite gymnasts Kayttie Nakamura (16, Kalani High School) and Sydney Senter (16, Hawaii Baptist Academy) will compete for the United States of America in the Pan American Trampoline Championships this week in Cochabamba, Bolivia.
This is the continental qualifier that will determine who from the Americas will advance to the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in October.
Nakamura and Senter are ranked in the top three in the U.S. and Pan American countries.
