Golfers might encounter some hazards while heading to the Ala Wai Golf Course starting Monday, when work on the access road is expected to tee off.
Traffic along the access road, from Kapahulu Avenue to the golf course parking lot, will be reduced to a single lane for the duration of reconstruction work overseen by the city Department of Facility Maintenance’s Storm Water Quality Branch.
Special-duty police officers will be assisting with traffic control. Motorists visiting the golf course are advised to drive with caution and obey traffic controls and posted signs.
The project is scheduled to be completed by Sept. 11. The Ala Wai Golf Course, clubhouse facility and driving range will remain open throughout the project.
