Punahou pole vaulter J. Kai Yamafuji and his coach Tom Hintnaus will be the featured speakers at Monday’s Honolulu Quarterback Club meeting at the Maple Garden Restaurant.
Yamafuji, a rising junior, became the first Hawaii competitor to clear 16 feet, accomplishing the feat at April’s ILH championships. He went on to win the state title.
The luncheon, which costs $17, starts at 11:30 a.m. and the program will follow at noon. The public is invited.
