Hawaii Hilo topples Biola in 5 sets

Alexandria Parisian had 15 kills and Bria Beale and Evelin Solyomvari each added 14 as the Hawaii Hilo volleyball team defeated Biola 25-20, 12-25, 25-17, 19-25, 18-16 on Thursday in La Mirada, Calif.

The Vulcans (8-4, 4-1 PacWest) scored the final two points on kills by Parisian.

The Eagles fell to 8-5 and 4-2.

On Wednesday, Hawaii Hilo beat Concordia 26-24, 25-16, 25-16 in Irvine, Calif.

>> Emma Tecklenburg had 11 kills and Alana Handy added eight, but Chaminade fell to Azusa Pacific 25-23, 25-19, 25-11 in Azusa, Calif.

The Silverswords dropped to 10-2, 4-2 PacWest, while the Cougars improved to 11-4, 7-0.

On Wednesday, Chaminade defeated Point Loma 21-25, 25-6, 25-18, 25-15 in San Diego.

>> Carson Pyle and Perla Escobar each recorded 14 kills, but Hawaii Pacific fell to Point Loma 25-22, 28-26, 23-25, 16-25, 16-14 in San Diego.

Mahea Pescaia had 43 assists for the Sharks (3-9, 2-4 PacWest).

The Sea Lions improved to 7-6 and 4-2.

On Wednesday, Hawaii Pacific lost to Azusa Pacific 25-17, 25-9, 21-25, 25-22 in Azusa, Calif.
