Brett Kavanaugh was vetted when he worked in the White House and again when he was nominated to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
This alleged assault, which supposedly happened about 36 years ago, emerges now? The Democrats knew about it a few months ago, but never said anything, publicly or privately.
Are we now going back into high school to see if a nominee behaved himself or herself? What a joke our democracy is becoming.
During the Los Angeles riots 26 years ago, Rodney King made his now-famous statement, “Can’t we all just get along?” Twenty-six years later, the answer is no. The people who still can’t accept the results of the election would like to blame President Donald Trump, but this divisiveness has been going on for decades.
I pray the president doesn’t suffer a mysterious death while in office. If that happens, it will be the end of our country as we know it. Within democracy lies the seeds of its own destruction.
