It was recently reported that tourism is Hawaii’s strongest income driver, and that it’s growing while other industries are not.
The majority of resort and hotel owners are multinational corporations. How can this expanding wealth benefit Hawaii?
Approving fair contracts for hotel workers is a critical way to benefit those who work so hard to ensure a pleasant stay for visitors. Hotel workers should not have to end a shift only to go to a second (or third) job.
In an industry making giant profits, one job should be enough.
