Honolulu police arrest man wanted in fatal shooting at Kapiolani Boulevard game room
CrimeStoppers and Honolulu police are thanking the public for helping to locate a suspect in a fatal shooting at a game room in the Kapiolani area.
Police identified the suspect as 28-year-old Manu K. Sorensen and said he was arrested about 2:45 p.m. today in Hauula on suspicion of second-degree murder and first-degree robbery.
Sorensen allegedly fired a gun during an attempted game room robbery at about 10:50 p.m. Saturday, striking the victim, a 31-year-old man who later died at a hospital, police said. Sorensen fled the scene, but was identified as the shooting suspect during a police investigation.
CrimeStoppers requested the public’s help in finding Sorensen about three hours before his arrest.
Police said a second suspect was also involved in the robbery on Kapiolani Boulevard. That suspect, a 31-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of first-degree robbery and a drug charge.
