Man critically injured in Kalihi shooting

Honolulu police have initiated an attempted murder investigation involving a shooting in Kalihi Sunday night.

Police said a man was at an adult entertainment business on Kalani Street at approximately 10:40 p.m. when a 35-year-old man entered the establishment and shot the victim.

It’s unclear at this time how many shots were fired.

Emergency Medical Services treated and transported the victim, 28, to a hospital in critical condition.

The suspect turned himself in at the Pearl City police station at 11:30 p.m. on suspicion of attempted murder in the second degree and four counts of criminal contempt of court.
