Brett Kavanaugh’s hearing is a one-sided attack on him and a travesty of justice. Christine Blasey Ford simply accuses Kavanaugh of a criminal act, but offers no proof.
If this was a court of law, the burden of proof would be upon the accuser. But here, the accusation by Ford about a sexual assault forced upon her by Kavanaugh years ago is accepted as truth. How is this so?
How can Kavanaugh defend himself against Ford’s unproven accusation? Kavanaugh’s only defense is to deny them. Who is telling the truth?
As this continues, Ford is picking up the support of sexual assault victims while Kavanaugh’s name and reputation are being destroyed. Is this fair?
I sympathize with all sexual assault victims, but everyone accused of a crime is entitled to a fair hearing.
How can justice prevail without fairness?
