Hawaii Pacific goalkeeper Lauren Spencer was named the PacWest women’s soccer defender of the week, the conference announced Monday.
Spencer, a senior from Oxford, Mich., made 10 saves in a 0-0 draw against host Cal State Monterey Bay on Sunday. It was her eighth career shutout.

Hawaii Hilo sweeps Holy Names
Alexandria Parisian had 12 kills and Kiley Davis added 10 as the Hawaii Hilo women’s volleyball team beat Holy Names 25-15, 25-8, 26-24 on Monday at UHH Gym.
Basia Sauni finished with 21 assists and 13 digs for the Vulcans (11-3, 7-1 PacWest).
The Hawks fell to 3-13, 2-8.

UHH women’s golfers last after first round
The Hawaii Hilo women’s golf team shot a 55-over-par 343 and is 10th and last after Monday’s first round of the Dixie State Fall Invitational at Hurricane, Utah.
The Vulcans top individual is freshman Gabriella Esquibell, who is tied for 22nd after carding a 6-over-par 78. Dixie State’s Kaitlynn Deeble leads at 69.
The Academy of Art leads at 293.
