Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said that Americans “are the most entertained and the least informed people on the planet.”
I can think of no more poig-nant proof of his statement, anecdotal though it may be, than attendance at the recently released Michael Moore film, “Fahrenheit 11/9,” by only nine people in a 250-seat theater at the sprawling Red Rock Casino/Theater complex in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, more than 500 people were engaged in casino gaming just outside the theater.
I therefore have little confidence in our electoral process by an informed and engaged electorate.
