>> A new city law with stiffer penalties for building code violators would apply to homes like one on Date Street that went up despite having no approved permit. A story on Page B1 Monday inaccurately identified the street.

>> Kaden K. Kanae was free on bail at the time of a deadly shooting in connection with a Waikiki robbery that occurred several weeks before the Haleiwa shooting. A story on Page B2 Tuesday incorrectly reported that the robbery occurred last year.
