Regarding the recent pedestrian accidents, I don’t believe the fault lies with the drivers. I believe the problem is all of the multi-lane crosswalks around the island that don’t have a corresponding traffic signal, as seen on Kalanianaole Highway, King Street and Farrington Highway.
A pedestrian takes his life in his hands trying to cross these roads without a signal to stop the traffic.
