How can the mayor claim we are becoming a more age-friendly city when they are taking out more bus stops and crosswalks? We were just in Waikiki recently and the bus stops in front of the Waikiki Gateway and the International Market Place are gone. I don’t know how many more.
For seniors that doubles the walk and for some that’s too much. Also taking out the crosswalks encourages them to jaywalk, which is definitely not safe.
