“Monster,” as in monster house, is a very biased adjective. The correct word is large house. Now what is a large house, and why is it so bad?
City officials cry for more housing for our local residents, and a large house is one step toward easing the housing crunch.
Large houses are not as undesirable as some narrow-minded people declare. It’s the monster mansion that accommodates only a few that deserves the term, “monster.”
Suppose you are a homeowner and have a large lot. Why not build with many bedrooms and rent by the night to maximize rental income?
This is where the city can and should step in and create opportunities for landlords to house more people on a longer basis under one large roof. If the city is serious about more housing, it has the means to go forward.
