Darall Pascua, 55, went missing Saturday morning in waters off Marine Camp near Kauai’s Wailua Golf Course, police said.

The search continues for a second day for a 55-year-old man who was last seen Saturday morning trying to retrieve a fishing net in waters off of Marine Camp near Kauai’s Wailua Golf Course.

Darall Pascua had no shirt but was wearing red-, green-, and yellow-colored board shorts when a friend lost sight of him about 50 yards from shore and called 911 before 9:30 a.m. Saturday. Pascua has no permanent address but frequents the Lihue area, county officials said.

The Coast Guard spent the night searching the area with a Kauai-based 45-foot response boat alongside a Honolulu-based dolphin helicopter and the Coast Guard cutter Joesph Gerzcak.

The search is continuing today with police, firefighters and lifeguards using personal watercraft in addition to Kauai County’s Air 1 helicopter.

Police do not suspect foul play in Pascua’s disappearance.

Anyone with information on Pascua’s whereabouts is asked to call Kauai police at (808) 241-1711.
