Regarding (“Google planning big New York City expansion,” Star-Advertiser, Nov. 7): Why doesn’t the Legislature try to solicit big companies to establish themselves in Hawaii?
Reduce regulations and promote tax and other incentives. Like New York, Hawaii is expensive with the cost of housing and food. We need to sell the clean and healthy lifestyle of Hawaii and the close proximity to the Asian market. Forget tourism. Hawaii is missing opportunities to keep our children from leaving for the mainland.
