Pedestrians blame motorists. Motorists blame pedestrians. At some point, motorists are pedestrians and vice versa. No matter how many traffic signals, warnings, public service announcements or news coverage is done, obviously it doesn’t do any good.
What’s needed is common sense. Unfortunately, it’s not that common.
