INSTRUCTIONS
1. Clean and dry crimp-top ivy bowl. Use the sponge to dab white paint all over the outside of the bowl. Let dry.
2. Cut a long triangular teardrop shape, like a carrot, from the orange foam for the snowman’s nose.
3. Cut five 1/2-inch rough circles from the black foam to make “pieces of coal” to form the mouth.
4. After the paint is dry, glue the eyes on the bowl. Glue the nose below the eyes. Glue the black foam pieces into a smile.
5. To make the beanie, cut felt in half to make two 9-by-6-inch pieces.
6. Line the two pieces up, overlapping 1/2 inch of the two 6-inch edges and glue together to make one long 17.5-by 6-inch piece. Cut off 4 inches to make a 13.5-by-6-inch piece.
7. Overlap the edges and glue together to make a tube. Place the tube over the top of the ivy bowl. Wrap the twine or ribbon around the end, cinching to gather the top.
8. Knot the twine or ribbon several times to secure and finish with a bow. Snip the top edges of the felt to create fringe.
9. Roll up the bottom edge of the felt to a couple of times to complete the beanie. Fill ivy bowl with goodies and place beanie on top as a cover.
