Occasionally, I read Cal Thomas to get his take on political affairs. His recent egregious statement demonstrated his frequently fallacious writing (“Liberal judges stretch limits of their constitutional powers,” Star-Advertiser, Nov. 27). He said that “if there are no Trump, Obama, Bush or Clinton judges, then why the battle over every candidate nominated by a Republican president?”
Does Thomas really mean that only Republican presidents experience such and that Democratic presidents don’t experience such battles?
Really now, Cal. Please don’t insult the intelligence of your readers, many of whom discredit all your writing when it attempts to be so blatantly misleading. Perhaps the Star-Advertiser could find a better representative of right-wing writing to replace Thomas.
