Woman, 34, charged with alleged attack on wife, rival

Prosecutors charged a 34-year-old woman after she allegedly struck or ran over two women with a pickup truck in Kalihi.

Devohn A. Detwiler was charged Friday with two counts of first-degree attempted assault. Her bail is set at $100,000.

Police said the suspect later identified as Detwiler allegedly struck two women, ages 30 and 27, with a red Chevrolet pickup truck she was operating at the 1900 block of Kalihi Street at approximately 7:15 p.m. Wednesday. She then fled the scene.

Detwiler and one of the victims are married. Police said the other woman is the new partner of Detwiler’s wife.

Emergency Medical Services treated the victims who sustained non-life-threatening injuries to their arms, legs and torsos.

Police located Detwiler at her home in Aliamanu on suspicion of first-degree attempted murder.
