What is wrong with Gov. David Ige?
First he doesn’t use state surpluses to help the needy (homeless) and now he wants to stop people from feeding cats (“Ige signs rules banning feeding feral cats at harbors,” Star-Advertiser, Dec. 22).
Doesn’t he know that feral cats live with fear, stress and hunger every day? Now he wants us to starve them to death.
With the right care these cats offer unconditional love. Why not use the empty cages at the Honolulu Zoo to house and care for these animals? They have everything they need for their care.
Have the Humane Society open up cat exhibits, with education and adoptive programs, to help these animals. Let’s be humane and show the world we are truly the state of aloha.
Merry Christmas!
