The City and County of Honolulu offers the following options to recycle Christmas trees.
>> Three-cart curbside program:
Place tree in the green cart on regular green waste collection day. The tree must fit inside the cart, so cut it into lengths of up to 3 feet and trim branches to ensure they will fall freely from the cart during collection.
>> Manual collection route:
Cut tree into lengths up to 3 feet and place at curb on refuse collection day.
>> Drop off whole trees:
Ewa Convenience Center, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
Laie Convenience Center, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
Waianae Convenience Center, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
Waimanalo Convenience Center, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
Waipahu Convenience Center, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily
Kapaa Transfer Station, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday
Keehi Transfer Station, noon to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday
Waimanalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill, 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily
Hawaiian Earth Recycling, 7 a.m. to 4:40 p.m. Monday to Saturday, 8 a.m. to noon Sunday

Concert might cause traffic delays
Aloha Stadium is wrapping up 2018 with a concert featuring Snoop Dogg, Cardi B and Sublime With Rome at 7 p.m. Thursday, and stadium officials are reminding motorists to prepare for the possibility of heavy traffic in the area and adjust their routes accordingly. Because on-site parking is limited, the following alternative parking sites are available for concertgoers:
>> Aiea Elementary School: 3:30 p.m. $16 per vehicle. No shuttle service.
>> Stadium Marketplace: 3:30 p.m. $16 per vehicle. No shuttle service.
>> Radford High School: 3:30 p.m. $10 per vehicle, shuttle service included. Walk-up shuttle service available for $2 per person.
