Hawaii Kotohira Jinsha — Hawaii Dazaifu Tenmangu will offer traditional Shinto blessings for Japanese Hatsumode observances from midnight Monday to 4 p.m. Tuesday at 1239 Olomea St. Complimentary bowls of ozoni mochi soup will be served from midnight to 2 a.m.; and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Omamori good luck charms, ofuda and kumade will also be available. >> Hongwanji New Year. Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin will ring the temple bell 100 times in a special New Year’s Eve service at 11 p.m. Monday at 1727 Pali Highway. Speakers will be the Rev.
