A total of 15 Hawaii beaches made it onto the list of North America’s Top 50 beaches compiled by FlightNetwork.
In compiling the list, FlightNetwork said it spoke with more than 1,200 journalists, editors, bloggers, and agencies “who live and breathe travel.” In addition to Hawaii, other top beaches included Oregon, California, Canada and Mexico.
Honokalani Beach on Maui ranked the highest on the list, at No. 4, while Lanikai Beach on Oahu was close behind, at No. 5. Honopu Beach on Kauai was No. 7, while Green Sand Beach on Hawaii island was No. 12.
Queen’s Bath, considered a dangerous beach and the site of a recent drowning on Kauai’s North Shore, ranked No. 17, Sunset Beach on Oahu’s North Shore No. 20, Kaanapali Beach on Maui No. 23 and Hapuna Beach on Hawaii island No. 25.
