The University of Hawaii men’s diving team claimed the top three spots in the 3-meter springboard event on the first day of the Wally Nakamoto Diving Invite on Thursday at Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex.
Johan Sandell won with a score of 358.20. Max Burman was second with a 342.60 and Grant Newcombe third with a 329.10.
In the women’s 1-meter event, Hawaii’s Ivy Houser was fifth (253.40), Jami Stone sixth (253.10) and Monica Gavaris seventh (251.40). Nebraska’s Sara Troyer won with a 278.05.
