    Former president Barack Obama spoke at a private event held in the Hawaii Imin International Conference Center at the East-West Center in Manoa on Sunday evening. His appearance capped-off a series of workshops with 21 emerging leaders selected by the Obama Foundation for an Asia-Pacific leadership program.

Former President Barack Obama addressed 21 young people chosen by the Obama Foundation as emerging leaders Sunday at the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

On Saturday, these young people gathered at the East-West Center in Honolulu for a day of workshops and conversations about how to design a leadership program for the Asia-Pacific region.
