Elderly pedestrian critical after getting hit in West Loch area

A 93-year-old woman was critically injured Saturday morning after she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street in the West Loch area. The incident happened around 7:28 a.m. on Apaa Street.

According to police, the woman was not in a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a 56-year-old man. She was transported by paramedics to The Queen’s Medical Center.
