U.S. Rep. Tulsi Gabbard is aggressive and ambitious (“Gabbard takes aim at Hirono, other Democratic colleagues” (Star-Advertiser, Jan. 10).

First, she flooded areas with election signs long before anyone else and put up many more signs, too. Apparently she has a big chip on her shoulder, perhaps because she’s a member of the offshoot Hindu sect, so certainly she’s experienced harassment.

U.S. Sen. Mazie Hirono was not out of line during a hearing to ask a question about impartiality. Gabbard’s picking on Hirono is her undoing — she is showing us her true colors.

Hirono is an exemplary leader of Hawaii. Shame on Tulsi Gabbard.
