I was blinking, smiling and lifting both my arms at the same time,” he said. “Without a doubt I don’t feel that I’d be here with the ability to deftly maneuver a knife as my work requires of me had I not had the thrombectomy.“

Chef Carlos Jorge recently experienced a stroke and went through a minimally invasive treatment procedure called a mechanical thrombectomy, which is used to remove blood clots, allowing him to look forward to opening his restaurant HICRAFT Kitchen later this month. “Without a doubt I don’t feel that I’d be here with the ability to deftly maneuver a knife as my work requires of me had I not had the thrombectomy,” he said.
