Movie filming to detour Nimitz traffic Friday night
State transportation officials advised motorists that the westbound lanes of Nimitz Highway between Peltier Avenue and Camp Caitlin Road will be closed 7 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Saturday for a film production.
The film production has secured a detour onto Nimitz via Peltier Avenue, state officials said. During the closure, westbound motorists will be directed to take a right-hand turn onto Peltier Avenue, followed by a left-hand turn onto Nimitz Road, and a left-hand turn onto Camp Catlin Road to resume travel on westbound Nimitz Highway.
Signs directing westbound motorists to the detour will be in place during the closure.
