Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell should do his job and bring to the floor the stopgap funding bill that passed the Senate Dec 19. The House would approve and the shutdown could be over. If President Donald Trump vetoes, Congress can override by a two-thirds majority vote.
This is an unnecessary shutdown and is solely on McConnell and Trump.
Make a deal on the wall and immigration later, and quit holding federal workers hostage.
