Disturbing, frustrating: The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation continues to “go off the rail.”
The HART board doesn’t appear to be held accountable to anyone. Its contractor, HDR Engineering Inc., doesn’t appear to be held accountable by anyone.
Our city and state elected politicians appear to express no outrage or even real concern. And our congressional members, watching the largest public works project in the island’s history spiral out of control with local and federal tax funds, remain silent.
I guess if they cannot blame President Donald Trump for this, they’re not interested.
As a lifetime Democrat, I’m embarrassed and angered by the entire situation of project mismanagement and government indifference.
Would there be a reaction if taxpayers held a taxpaying shutdown until this debacle is fixed?
